What Greenhaven’s Spring Show Day Revealed Once the Clouds Cleared
When we began planning our Spring Show Day event, we imagined blue skies and a chorus of birdlife thriving amid the season’s fresh bloom, classic postcard perfection. Little did we know, the day would unfold beneath a brooding sky. As our team set up, we had little to no hope of our guests trading the comfort of the indoors to brave the downpour and embark on a slippery tour through a veil of mist. Much to our surprise, the gates of Greenhaven Estate opened to a wave of enthusiastic buyers driven by the knowledge that opportunities here are running out.
Although DvH Attorneys had to put their bowling games and ice-cold gins on hold, they made an excellent call bringing Craneflower Coffee on site, a warm indulgence that was especially appreciated on a day like this. Once our guests signed up and grabbed their cuppa, the day was in full swing.
East Coast Radio’s Danny Guselli, who is no stranger to Greenhaven Estate, welcomed everyone with his trademark enthusiasm and engaging presence, constantly on the go, interviewing guests live and encouraging listeners to drop by and take advantage of their last chance to call this place home. Bringing the buzz of ECR’s Top 40 to the clubhouse, Styles Mbatha kept the energy high with his entertaining commentary and a live interview with the developer, Thiru Govender of Melki Group, who surprised guests by announcing a limited-time R50,000 discount.
Our team whisked visitors around the estate on guided golf cart tours, giving them the chance to experience the lifestyle that awaits in our beautifully designed show units. With “sold” signs gleaming proudly across several windows, curiosity quickly turned into excitement. Visitors eagerly explored the remaining “white box” homes before heading to the sales office to reserve their chosen unit and browse the beautiful range of finishes to make it their own.
All that excitement certainly worked up an appetite. Courtesy of Melki Group, guests were treated to sizzling boerie rolls, refreshing cool drinks, and delicious mimosa cocktails. After refuelling, many took the opportunity to have their legal questions answered by DvH Attorneys and bond-related queries addressed by GetGo Home Loans. It was an informative and interactive experience from start to finish, not just a self-guided tour, but a day filled with expert advice, friendly faces, and genuine hospitality from the developer that made everyone feel welcome.
As the clouds finally lifted over Greenhaven Estate, what truly came into focus was more than the picturesque views, it was the undeniable sense of community, optimism, and opportunity that this development continues to inspire. Thiru Govender, CEO of Melki Group reflects, “Greenhaven Estate has reached a defining moment. As we step back, it’s a bittersweet moment. The realisation of a vision years in the making now coming into its own through the success of its final phase.”
With more than 80% of homes now sold, the estate's enduring appeal has never been clearer. “Greenhaven’s success proves just how strongly the over 50s market responds to real value,” says Scott Allnatt, co-founder of Shelley Residential. “Others may try to follow, but the opportunity exists right here and it’s almost gone.”
As we move toward a complete sell-out, anticipated by early 2026, the message from our Spring Show Day couldn’t be more evident: even on the rainiest of days, the future here shines bright. Private tours are still available. Visit www.greenhavenestate.co.za or call the Shelley Residential team on 066 240 7725 to book your estate tour.
